Everyone’s

An Influencer

CURRENT

YOU’RE MORE INFLUENTIAL
THAN YOU KNOW

Did you know more than 50% of visitors to the region are here to spend time with family and friends? We call this the visiting friends and relatives (VFR) market.

That means residents play a huge role in how visitors experience our region. And a little local insight goes a long way.

Our Everyone’s An Influencer campaign encourages locals to use their influence to bring their loved ones to Geelong and The Bellarine. Sharing their favourite things or new experiences with their circles is a powerful way to drive interest and build plans.

Whether it’s sharing, showing, raving, or recommending, we’re asking locals not to keep the things they love about our region to themselves. It’s too good not to share!

GET IN ON THE ACTION

We’ve started to roll out the campaign across our Visit Geelong Bellarine digital platforms ahead of the full launch in May.

Everyone’s An Influencer aims to inspire two types of ‘influencing’ behaviour:

Take ‘ems – We want locals to take their friends and relatives for a shared physical experience in the region.

Post its – We want locals to share and post content enjoying local experiences for their friends and family to digitally experience and be inspired by.

Save the date for our member workshop

In the lead up to the official launch, we will be holding a member workshop with the creative agency that developed the campaign with us, that’s Ruck.

The workshop is designed to be super-practical, giving you a space to brainstorm ideas you can put into action, whilst also refreshing how you think about your own brand.

Save the date for Tuesday 17 May and stay tuned for RSVPs and further details.
