Grow Your Event
Events are an important element to the experience mix for Geelong and The Bellarine.
More than half of the visitors to our visitor website – check out the What’s On page. In fact, after the home page it’s the most visited section on the entire site. It seems that events are important in either giving visitors plenty of options for their trip, or for driving the visitation here in the first place.
Joining team tourism will expose your event to the huge potential of the growing visitor market. We know they’re interested in events and we can help make connections between your dates and their dates.
Get found by more visitors
We market the region by telling great stories, often about events or driven around particular event dates. We have blog posts with local perspectives on major events and create lists for the holiday period of all the special events holidaymakers should consider. We share videos and social media content – including live broadcasts – from events in the region.
There are tactical ways to reach the visitor market through our channels too. Your online event listing will feature on our What’s On section via a central database that sees it published on statewide and national platforms too. Our Public Relations program is always thirsty for new and interesting stories to share with the media. And upcoming events become a highlight in our online, email and social media activity in the lead-up. Check out how online event listings can look:
