Hubcaps to Creative Hubs is a living-history research project documenting the creative transformation taking place in Geelong’s former industrial sites.
It’s now been a year since $20,000 was raised to help make the Hubcaps to Creative Hubs research film project by Deakin University, University of Melbourne and Creative Geelong.
Sixteen interviews in Geelong were undertaken and captured over twenty hours of footage of the RS&S Mills, the Federal Woollen Mills and the Fyansford Paper Mill. It has taken two months to edit all research into three 10 minute films.
The world premiere and screening of the Hubcaps to Creative Hubs films is set for the evening of Thursday 1 March 2018 – so please save the date! More information will be available in the coming weeks.
