Travelling with disability can sometimes be very difficult, it is possible and achievable with the right amount of planning and preparation.

Each year a staggering $8 billion is spent on Australian tourism by travellers with a disability and we want to be part of it.

With the participation of the tourism operators we are aiming to make our region Destination:Accessible, along with our partners at the Australian Federation of Disability Organisations (AFDO).

A great example of accessible tourism was published in a blog written by the Smith family, as they travel with 3 kids and a wheelchair. Their experience in our region was a fun, inclusive seaside escape for everyone! Experiences like this are the real reason accessible tourism is so important. Check out the full article here.

By ensuring your business is accessible you are tapping into a new market with new opportunities, our Destination:Accessible project will help you achieve a more accessible product! Click here to read more and how to get involved.
