Executive Director Update – 27 July 2021

Well done Victoria!

It’s been hard, but we need to be proud of what we’ve achieved.

Today, the Premier has announced that as of 11:59pm tonight, state wide restrictions will ease, with the updated changes to be in place for the next two weeks.

The 5 reasons to leave home have been lifted, the 5km travel radius is also lifted and we can once again, get on the beers.

Home visits will be out of the picture for now, acknowledging that the numbers show this is where so much transmission is occurring, and to help protect what we’ve worked hard to achieve.

With families and friends only able to reconnect with one-another in COVID safe venues (that requires checking-in) or outdoors, we have the opportunity, as an industry, to help make this happen safely and effectively. Density quotients and limits are outlined below.

We understand that not all businesses will be able to open, or open fully, and there will be further detail on business support as early as tomorrow. As always we will keep you updated.
