OVERVIEW

Join us for an informative lunch to discuss the Spirit of Tasmania’s game-changing move to Geelong.

Ahead of the inaugural voyage to Geelong on 23 October, we’re excited to invite you to our luncheon with Bernard Dwyer, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Spirit of Tasmania at 12pm on Tuesday 20 September 2022.

Bernard has significant experience in the Tasmanian tourism sector, working in various senior management positions with the Federal Group, including nearly nine years as its Director of Tourism.

Insights agency Hall & Partners will also present their findings from the qualitative report we commissioned into Understanding the Spirit of Tasmania Traveller.

This luncheon will be a great chance to learn more about what our region can expect with the arrival of Spirit of Tasmania, and its estimated 450,000 annual travellers, along with opportunities for local businesses.

We acknowledge that Geelong and The Bellarine is Wadawurrung Country.

We welcome visitors to our region, a place we acknowledge has been cared for by the Wadawurrung people of the Kulin Nation for thousands of years.

The environment is a key reason visitors choose this destination. Traditional Owners sharing the beauty and joy of these lands and waterways is a privilege, one we repay with respect for their country, Elders and people.
